Our goal is to provide legal services for fees that are moderate and reasonable. Consumers want to know early in the process if a service provider’s fees are affordable. We get it. Let’s discuss your legal needs and goals so we can provide a quote. We will never make you feel awkward or pressured during this process. We only want prospective clients to engage our services if they are comfortable with our law firm.
Most clients dislike hourly based fees. In many cases we offer a flat fee alternative. In order to provide a quote, we need a bit of information on the services you are seeking.
The Florida Probate Code provides that attorney’s fees will be presumed reasonable if based on a statutory percentage of the value of the estate. Calculating an attorney’s fee solely on the appraisal of inventory and the income and ignoring the creditors, beneficiaries, complexity of issues, and other factors related to the work involved appears unfair to the client in many cases. Therefore, as an alternative to percentage-based fees, we also offer clients a flat fee option based on consideration of many factors to estimate the work involved (instead of the value of the estate).
Real Estate Closings – Title Insurance
On real estate closing transactions where we are the title/closing agent, our title fees are comparable to those charged by title insurance companies. The difference is that our law firm provides legal advice and representation while a title company does not. Why not have the benefit of a Florida real estate attorney representing you at closing?
